Why not visit sculpture that was constructed from disused water tanks?

Where is it ?
What is it ?
In the geographical heart of Lanzarote, at an important crossroad from which any point of the island can be reached, stands one of the most important works by César Manrique, and the one most loaded with symbolic references
Below can be seen at the crossroads / roundabout ........
It is the white fertility Sculpture was constructed from disused water tanks and dedicated to the farmers who work so hard to produce crops from the volcanic land in Lanzarote. It is said you can see the farmer on an animal .......
It is Monumento al Campesino
The hidden gems are the craft area and Gift Shop which can be found by going down the steps towards the coffee area and turning right
The gift shop offers some quality Lanzarote products and a good selection of wines, some of which I have not see before
The craft area , while we were there, was running a workshop to make your own mojo sauce, along with a recipe card for a cost of €3 - Of course please check when you go what is on offer
Definitely worth a visit!
