After a long wait of 7 years, Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai Take 2 ran their first episode yesterday and we couldn’t be happier!

It is so good to know, that after all these years, they made us as happy as they always did and everything was just the same – except of course a few things, new characters were introduced, old character’s appearances may have changed but the core of it remains the same – Roshesh is still the ‘talented’ poet he always was, Maya mocks Monisha’s middle-classiness with just the same amount of fervor if not more!

What has changed – Maya has chosen to go for the salt and pepper look, which she is totally rocking btw! Indu is just the same old mischievous Indu! Monisha and Sahil are now parents to 11 year old Arnabh Sarabhai (pronounced Ornob!), Roshesh is the lead actor of a TV show called “BahuMachhar, Beta Kachhar!” AND he also has a girlfriend – Jasmine Mavani who is an “actress cum singress” – Imagine Maya’s horror!

The biggest change of course is that the show doesn’t air on TV anymore and is a web series which will be aired every Monday on Hotstar for Prime users and for everyone else on Tuesdays!

Episode 1 is titled“Monisha Ki Mannat” where in the Sarabhai fam are on a bus and stuck in the middle of nowhere! Maya somehow finds a way to blame Monisha’s middle-classiness for it of course and Roshesh expresses himself with a lovely poem to our immense delight!

The 24minutes episode was a mad journey with the Sarabhai clan which ended with Sahil inviting the audience into their house which is now a penthouse!
