The event ran from 26th to 27th September at the Main Point of Arugam Bay. The National Surfing Championship had over 70 entrants from surfers across the country with last year’s winner, D.A. Lakshitha Madushan hailing from Weligama SC again emerging as the champion. The open singles title for men was won by W. I. Asanka Sanjeeva, also from Sri Lanka, while the women’s open title saw Nikita Robb from South Africa being placed first.
