Ticket prices and opening hours

The Tokyo Skytree is open year-round, but operating hours can vary depending on the season. As for ticket prices, the cost varies depending on the observation deck you wish to visit. The Tembo Deck (350 metres) costs 3,200 yen for adults, while the Tembo Galleria (450 metres) costs 1,000 yen extra. It’s best to purchase tickets in advance to avoid long lines.

Getting to Tokyo Skytree

The easiest way to get to the Tokyo Skytree is by public transportation. Take the Tobu Skytree Line or Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line to Oshiage Station, which is found just a few minutes’ walk from the tower. If you’re travelling from Tokyo Station, take the JR Sobu Line to Kinshicho Station and transfer to the Tobu Skytree Line. And if you are staying at one of the apartments in Aoyama the likes of Oakwood Residence Aoyama Tokyo, you could also hail a taxi.

Avoiding the crowds

Tokyo Skytree is a popular attraction, so expect crowds, especially during peak tourist season. To avoid long lines and wait times, consider visiting early in the morning or later in the evening. If you’re looking for a more private experience, consider booking a VIP tour or reserving a table at the Skytree Restaurant.

What to see and do

In addition to the incredible views from the observation decks, there’s plenty to see and do at Tokyo Skytree. Browse the shops on the lower floors, including a Studio Ghibli store, and dine at one of the many restaurants offering Japanese and international cuisine. Don’t miss the Skytree Town mascot character, Sorakara-chan, and the fantastic light show that takes place in the evening.
