The Perfect 3 Days in Koh Samui

Excited about your upcoming vacation to Thailand? You have every reason to be. After all the hard work and quarantine, you deserve this; however, if you only have very limited time off before you go back to real life again read on. This is a small guide on how to cover Koh Samui in 3 days!

Day 1

You can start your three days here by getting an early start on the most famous landmarks here: Wat Plai Laem and The Big Buddha. They are located very close to each other so you can cover them both in one visit. Before you visit, please be mindful to wear modest clothing as these are religious sites. After this, you can head back to your resort in Koh Samui and have a delicious lunch, an afternoon siesta, relax a little and prepare for your next activity, Paddleboarding! The sun isn’t as hot in the evening, so this is the best time to grab a board and head to the ocean for a spectacular sunset. End the day with a little shopping spree at a night market.

Day 2

Begin your second day at Lamai Beach; located around 30mins from resorts in Koh Samui such as Avani+ Samui Resort, this beach is not as popular as Chaweng but gorgeous with fewer crowds. Once you’ve created a masterpiece sand sculpture head on to Grandfather’s and Grandmother’s Rocks. These are two unique naturally formed rocks and they take the unusual shapes of – wait for it – male and female genitalia. Once you are shocked sufficiently you can calm your senses at the next two attractions: The Secret Buddha Garden and Na Muang Waterfalls. Have a small picnic surrounded by natural beauty and refuel your energies for the most epic adventure yet – A Muay Thai match! These exciting martial arts matches are energetic and nerve-wracking and must not be missed.

Day 3

Finally, on your last day here you can make it to Ang Thong National Marine Park. There is so much to see here including rock caves, limestone cliffs, lakes, waterfalls, beautiful beaches with white sandy shores, coral reefs and even hiking trails. This is a series of mini-islands so it will take some time. Once you’re done you can head back to your hotel for lunch, rest a bit and get dressed in your best. The next activity is none other than one of Thailand’s famous drag shows. You can end your memorable trip to Koh Samui with an unforgettable night of drinks, songs, fun and dancing!
