Getting There

This beach is only around 5 km from the main town and one of the best ways to get there is via a pedal-powered journey! Properties like Anantara Hoi An Resort offer guests free use of bicycles and you can be at the shore in around 25 minutes. Alternatively, you can look to catch a taxi (car or motorbike), make use of the Grab ride-hailing app, or hire a motorbike.

Scenic Shores

Expect to find sun-kissed shores which stretch along the coast for around 4 km at An Bang Beach, easy to reach for those based at a Hoi An hotel near the historic Old Town. The beach has a charming and laidback atmosphere and is well-suited for couples, families, and solo sojourners alike. The waters are relatively calm for swimming, while the active type can enjoy water sports like jet-skiing, parasailing and stand-up paddleboarding. It’s also an ideal place to learn surfing with surfboard rentals on offer nearby.

Dining & Nightlife

Foodies have much to look forward to as well with plenty of dining options including fresh seafood served at beachside restaurants and stalls; one culinary creation to try is ‘hen xuc’, a yummy street food made with baby clams. There’s also a local market close by which has more great local dishes for breakfast though it closes around 9:00am so get there early. After the sun sets, the area’s many bars and nightlife venues come alive offering plenty of drinks and live music amidst the soothing seaside air.

Best Times to Visit

An Bang Beach can be visited year-round and even during the rainy season, you will find periods where you can bask in the sunshine. That said, the optimal time to visit is generally from March to September when you can expect lots of sun, little chance of rain, and calm seas. Look to get to the beach early in the morning to catch a magical sunrise, enjoy some yoga and avoid the crowds, while the time of sunset is equally enchanting.
