Getting There

Some of the islands are only around 30 minutes away, making them ideal to visit from your hotel or service apartment in Jakarta. The Pluit Marina and the Ancol Marina within easy reach of Ascott Jakarta are amongst the points you can take a jetfoil or boat to the islands.

Activities Galore

Thousand Islands are actually made up of around 130 islands in Jakarta Bay offering plenty to do; soak up the sun on pristine beaches, snorkel above vibrant marine and coral life, dive to discover the secrets of the deep and enjoy a spot of fishing. Jet skiing and banana boat rides are on offer too along with other water sports.

Sightseeing Highlights

There is much to see as well on your excursions; these include a Dutch fortress and other colonial sites on Pulau Onrust, the historic Fort Martello and rare trees on Pulau Bidadari and the well-known Love Bridge at Pulau Tidung!

Other Islands to Visit

Apart from those mentioned above, there are many other islands too: Pulau Pelangi provides plenty of captivating snorkelling, Pulau Ayer is a family favourite and Pulau Pramuka is where you can visit a reserve for greenback turtles. Pulau Pari with its spot called Virgin Sands and Pulau Sepa where water sports abound are also worth visiting.
