Cheap flights

The flight to the Maldives can typically be expensive but if you’re smart about it you can get a much more affordable rate. You can opt for an option such as Qatar Airways economy class, which was voted the best economy cabin consistently. You can also try planning your trip in the low season to get the cheapest travel packages.

Getting around the Maldives

Once you land at the Male International Airport the final leg of your journey will be from there to your resort. Since this is an archipelago of many islands, you’ll either have to take a seaplane or a speedboat. Generally, speedboats are much cheaper than planes but you can only opt for one if your resort is closer to Male.

The best time to visit

You can find amazing deals and the best rates if you avoid their peak season from November to February. The low season lasts from May to Late October. Although it’s named the low season, the Maldives has a wonderful tropical climate with balmy temperatures throughout the year. The rainy season lasts from May to October but it’ll only last for a part of the day leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the beaches.

What to do here

There are so many wonderful activities and excursions on offer here so don’t get caught up in planning and filling up your itinerary. Most of the fun activities such as snorkelling and paddle boarding are free upon arrival. If you’re not into adrenaline-packed adventures, you can leave out the places to visit in Maldives and simply relax at your resort such as the Adaaran Select Meedhupparu.
