It feels like winter dragged on forever – but finally Peony season is here!
Maybe it’s the long cold winter we had that makes the idea of a sunny countryside picnic so alluring.
Even more so when you’re amongst some of the worlds most beautiful blooms – Peonies!
Nestled amongst Daylesford & Kyneton, is Nicky & Mac’s Spring Hill Peony Farm.
10,000 white, pink and dark pink peonies have been lovingly planted by Nicky & Mac to establish their farm.
They begun planting the farm after Mac & Nicky met on a flight to Tokyo. As their relationship blossomed, so to did their peonies. Now they have 2 children & a 28-hectare farm in full bloom every November.
To celebrate peony season, they’re opening their abundant paddock, where visitors can pick their own!
A year ago the couple bought a deconsecrated 1890s church that backs onto the property.
After transforming it, it’s now an events venue.
It’ll host their annual picnic where there will be coffee, cakes, a local band & a bar for a tipple in the sunshine.
Entry to the Little Church Picnic Area | Free
Entry to view the paddock | $10
Entry to view and pick | $25
* No BYO
1385 Kyneton Springhill Road, Springhill, Victoria
I missed this event last year, so I gave myself a high five when I booked my tickets ahead of time this year (I’m such a last minute person!).
Hope to see you there!

Note| This isn’t a sponsored post, just a wonderful day trip for fellow peony lovers
We will be stocking Nicky & Mac’s peonies from the end of November.
If you can’t wait til the end of November for your peonies – you’re in luck – we have others in stock!
This season we’re also lucky enough to have an abundance of fig foliage – just like our name. So I designed a beautiful collection which is literally Fig & Blooms.
They look stunning, take a look now…
