As a designer, sometimes our own homes are the last to get our attention. Take my master for example. It needed a MAJ overhaul. I’ve been so busy lately with projects, and I’d been getting an awful night’s rest lately. Then I realized that my lack of Sleep was interfering with my energy throughout the day. I knew it was finally time to give my home some love. Starting with the most important part, my bed. Afterall,  we spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping. Why shouldn’t our bedrooms be the one place we can relax?

This may sound gross, and it totally is, but I’d been sleeping on the same Mattress SINCE HIGH SCHOOL. Not ok. And I knew nothing about mattresses. How hard or soft to get, what the benefits were. Gel mattresses, springs, and ones with so many bells and whistles. I had no clue where to start.

So I started doing research, and finally landed on one. The Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt mattress.

Here’s Why: 

Pressure relieving power. Motion cancellation.  It basically intuitively adapts to the body’s unique shape. So no matter if I toss and turn, it will keep adapting and personalizing to my body for support.

After only a few days, I could tell what a difference a new mattress can make. Even Maddie Moo Squeek loves it. It may sound funny, but now I feel empowered to do all of the things in my life that I needed more energy for. Like changing tires.

Or picking out fabrics.

All because I am finally getting the much needed rest that I was lacking. Mornings are so much better now, and I’m ready to take on the day!
