Master Overhaul: Part 2 – Table Lamps

Remember my master overhaul? Check it out here if you haven’t already.

I’ve decided to embark on a fairly large scale master bedroom remodel. Terrifying because it’s my house and not someone else’s. As a designer, I spend a lot of my time decorating other people’s houses. So it gets frustrating to come home to a house that I’m not 100% happy with. And I figure that (aside from my office) the place that I spend the majority of my time, is my bedroom. So it’s time for an update.

This week’s update is on lighting. These two gilt white Table Lamps came in this week from Joss and Main.

Why they are awesome:

1.) Scale: No dinky sized Lamps here guys. They are about 31.5″ tall and will tower above the night stands next to the bed. This means if you are a reader, or like to sit up in bed and watch TV (No TV’s in my room btw.) the light will shine down perfectly to illuminate whatever you are doing.

2.) Color: If you’ve seen the mood board (also below) for this project, you will know that the walls are going to be dark. Green black in fact. Darker lamp bases would disappear into the walls if not a brighter color. So the white and gold on these fits nicely.

For those that missed out, here is the moodboard. Our design plan for the space.

The Deets:

Thanks to Joss and Main for partnering with me on these beauties. Check them out here.
