Master Overhaul: Part 1

As a designer, the majority of my time is spent designing for clients. But I try to make an effort to do at least one room in my home at least once a year. Actually, let’s be real… My home is like an ever revolving space for furniture. With the launch of my 1st Dibs site, my house currently looks like it belongs to a hoarder.

But that is all going to change! Well, at least my master Bedroom. I’m sick of all the white. SICK. Don’t get me wrong, I love white. But I’m tired of it in my bedroom. I want a darker feel. A place that kinda feels like a cave. But like, not. Make sense? Maybe? A little? Let me show you. This is my current master bedroom. Super bright and cheery. Right?

Excuse some of the overlays. I pulled these photos from a previous post. But you get the idea right?

Now… here is the moldboard for the master Overhaul.

Totally different right? Dark moody walls. Burled wood furniture. Asian influence with the Garden Stools. That WEARSTLER GRAFFITO fabric! Dying! And did you see the lighting? That brass! And the curtain rods hung from the ceiling. And the framed photos from my family’s ranch. To me, this bedroom is GOALS. And a place that I’d love to call my own little cave. Over the next few months I’ll be updating you on this project and all the details. So stay tuned!

The Deets:

Fabric // Garden Stools // Lighting // Burl wood frame // Bedding // Oversize white mirror (Email me for info) // Paint
