Warm and Cozy

I don’t know if its the weather (It’s been in the ’80s here in Oklahoma and then it gets super cold!) or if it’s been the 9,000 different things I’ve got on my plate, but I’ve been feeling pretty under the weather lately.

So I was thrilled to get away for a few days this past weekend to Colorado. Sometimes, a little break from the norm is just what the doctor ordered. And that’s exactly what Colorado was for me this past weekend. Fresh air, great food and this gorgeous view. What more could anyone possibly want?

The weather was literally the best. Initially I anticipated it being freezing. It is Colorado after all! And it was the first weekend that some of the ski resorts were open for skiing. But it was actually really great. Mid ’60’s or ’70’s on most days! All I needed were a pair of leggings and a pull over and I was good to go.

In between short hikes around the cabin I spent practically all day curled up on this (beautiful) couch with this super plush Pottery Barn throw and a pile of my favorite magazines (Architectural Digest, Vogue and Lonny, duh.). It was literally exactly what I needed to get to feeling better again.

I’ve been so busy with other projects lately, I feel like a chicken running around with it’s head cut off. So a little time away was the best way to clear my head, relax and really concentrate on myself for once. Plus getting to crash at this beautiful cabin wasn’t bad either. I mean, that view. Uhhhhh. So gorgeous.

This view paired with the softest new Faux Fur throw from Pottery Barn, (and maybe my favorite chocolates and tea) and it was a party. I wanted to move in! Its been so NOT winter like in Oklahoma. For the first time it really felt like it was late October!

(Aren’t these faux mongolian fur pillows gorgeous by the way? I love 1.) That they are faux fur and 2.) That they are literally the softest cushiest pillows EVER. They are the perfect way to change up a space for winter. Just add faux fur and any space is instantly more warm and cozy. Love.)

When it came time to leave, I didn’t want to go! But admittedly I did miss Oklahoma and my fur babies. But I’m definitely feeling more like myself. Refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to hit the ground running (and maybe do a bit of fall decorating.)

Now if it would only get cooler here in Oklahoma! How crazy is it that it’s 80 in November??? Until it finally decides to cool down, you can find me posted up, snuggled up with these beauties.

Many thanks to Pottery Barn for partnering with me on this post, and to the Rawlings family for letting me crash at their gorgeous home.
