It’s only been a few weeks since returning from an amazing getaway in Mexico, but it feels like it’s been ages.

I’d forgotten what culture shock was, until both my feel were back in Oklahoma. Oh how I miss Mexico!!!!

We stayed in the most gorgeous beach villa. Our days were spent making margaritas, catching rays and listening to 80’s music. Aka, my dream vacay. We rarely stepped foot outside our little villa. But when we did, oh my gosh you guys. So much design inspiration there. Every corner we turned, there was a new beautiful colorful casita screaming for me to take it’s photo.

But, it might go without saying… It was hot. Like, really hot. I’d packed several long dresses, planning on wearing them out on a few of our Scouting excursions. But no dice. It was way too hot. So my uniform was a pair of One Teaspoon denim shorts and always an off the shoulder top. (Ya know. To avoid tan lines.)

And the beuganvillias! Uhhhhg. My most favorite kind of plant. Well, I say that about Magnolias and Peonies too. But beugnvillias are up there. They were everywhere! I wish they could grow in Oklahoma.
