A Starbucks Barista has an Hourly Rate of $7.80 to $11, and they are about to receive probably 5% to %15 raise. Albeit their duties are similar, a Bartender’s hourly rate is in average $9.80. However, Bartender’s salary are most likely to vary, it all depends on a mixture of factors.

As Frederick Herzberg’s studies on the Motivator-Hygiene Theory would say, salary is not a motivational factor. It is only a “Hygiene Factor,” which means, only high salaries will not be able to motivate your employees. That doesn’t mean the salary is not important, though. It most certainly is! However, make sure that with a proper payment, your employees also have a good working atmosphere, for example. Keeping your staff stimulated and motivated is not an easy task, but it is crucial if you want to have a great working environment, which will most likely reflect on your customers.
