During my six-day stay in Sydney, I could not help but to notice that the Quay (pronounced “kee”) had a bit of an American East Coast vibe. This image was shot on the outskirts of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, as well as the Sydney Opera House on Dawes Point facing the Sydney Skyline, Circular Quay, as well as Campbell’s Cove. So much to do, in so little time, virtually everything Down Under is on a much higher scale. Be it the atmosphere, the culture, the food, the drinks, the cleanliness of it, it’s hard to fathom (sometimes) that this Indigenous Aboriginal land was original a penal colony for felons.

And if you think it’s beautiful during the daytime, try being here at night!

Backstory to how this 15-hour and some change trip came about: Our nieces had graduated from high school in the recent years, and my wife had bought them a passport as a graduation present. And wherever the girls wanted to go, we would accommodate them, and they decided “The Land of Down Under”! Thankfully my wife and I have connections in Queensland as it was, and now we have more connections in New South Wales, Queensland, as well as Tasmania. So visiting there again in on the horizon!

At my former job as an airline caterer, I met a young man who’s a Military Brat who is also half-Australian, and his mother’s family is from Western Australia, so we’ve got another connection! Even a fellow blogger who’s an Aussie, recommended that we visit Australia’s West Coast (another connection)!

Our stay in Sydney was very, very fast paced to say the least. I know I’ve digressed a bit from the picture posted, but there’s more to come (God willing)!
