Holy Week Road Trip: Finding A Cross

Tags: cross holy road

The most unusual thing we’ve found or discovered so far on our Road trips was the little statue of Jesus on the Cross. The mere fact that it was a Holy Week when we drove to Barcelona last year the coincidence of spotting the statue was a bit convenient. We had no idea why it’s there or what it’s for. But seeing closely the inscription on the stone it says Souvenir du Jubile de la Redemption 1934.It’s in Marckolsheim, Rue d’Artzenheim, France.

Whoever is familiar with the Redemption Jubilee in 1934 must know why the cross stands in that particular place in France.
