PLANNING APPROVAL IN NEWTOWN LINFORD:
We're delighted to have received the grant of planning approval for this fantastic Home Extension in Newtown Linford, Leicester.
Working closely with the planning officer as well as the conservation officer, we were able to secure the approval for a two storey front and side extension set in the conservation area of Newtown Linford. On this occasion the proposed two storey extension will create a new feature entrance, garage and two new bedrooms over. While a single storey, timber clad, rear extensions will house a new Utility and Family Kitchen Area. Meanwhile, further alteration works will provide for a Home Gymnasium, TV Room with separate Living and Dining Areas.
Materials have been particularly important on this project. The homeowner in this case has been able to secure a quantity of reclaimed Swithland Slate, (which is no longer quarried), to ensure the roof remains in keeping with the locality. In addition to this we have used randomly coursed Charnwood Forest Granite and buff brickwork to match the existing property, whilst using oak detailing around the new feature entrance to make the entrance stand out and add that extra 'wow' factor with added kerb appeal.
Having gained planning permission we now look forward to working up the construction drawings with the homeowner on this project and subsequently bringing the scheme to life.
