• This plaque is of the size of 17.5” by 14” . You may buy anything available in the market. Separate the base from its frame

• Paint the whole frame and its inner board with serene snowfall chalk paint by Craftreat. Let this layer of paint dry completely. This step is very important.
• Apply wax on the inner board as well as on the outer frame. Apply the wax in the slanting direction on the inner board and on the edges of outer frame. This gives a chalkboard effect.

• Paint the inner board with Midnight Black Chalk Paint and the outer frame with Shallow Pond chalk paint by Craftreat. Let this second layer of paint dry completely.

• Take steel wool and scratch the top layer of paint from both the inner board and the frame to give the distressed look. The paint peels from the areas where the wax was applied revealing the base colour which was white. The wax acted as the resist for the second layer of paint.
