What The Heck Is NLP? (Neuro Linguistic Programming)

“Why don’t we go right back to the beginning with NLP?”

After recording regular 4-weekly podcasts over several years, Aaron at Raglan Radio (that’s Aaron in the image above) asked just that question. He thought it would be a good idea to go right back to the beginning and talk about what NLP is and how it came about. After all, many people wouldn’t have heard those first interviews. Although in subsequent interviews I’ve explained Neuro Linguistic Programming by giving an overview and then drilling down on a particular aspect, we haven’t discussed some basics of NLP in years.

So in this interview, we cover the beginnings of NLP. I’ve included some time stamps, so you know where to tune in to a particular aspect. There are also links to previous blog posts, so you can find out more about the facets of NLP that pique your interest. My suggestion would be to grab your favourite beverage, put your feet up and listen to the whole discussion (it’s 53 minutes long), or put it on and listen on your journey to or from work (probably not that useful if you’re working from home, of course.) If you decide to do this, just skip down the page a little for the audio.

Can I ask you a favour?

As you listen to the recording, if there’s anything that you’d like me to expand upon, please comment at the bottom of the page or email me. I prefer to write about what you’re actually interested in, rather than what I think you might be interested in. Thanks so much. You never know, your question might be the subject of a future blog post or podcast/interview.
