In Conjunction with World Environment Day, OPERION Hosts Beach Cleanup Event
Queensbay, Penang – June 15, 2024: In celebration of World Environment Day, Operion organized a successful Beach Cleanup event at Queensbay seaside on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 6 AM. This meaningful event brought together various partners and sponsors to make a positive impact on our environment.

OPERION invited notable partners including JCI Bayan and JL Creative Design. CKT Motor generously sponsored the event, contributing to its success. The event was honored and supported by Datuk Bandar YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Rajendran from MBPP, who graciously attended and officiated the event opening.
OPERION’s CEO, Mr. Lukas Tan, delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles for the betterment of our environment for all generations. His words resonated deeply with all attendees, highlighting our collective responsibility to protect and preserve our natural surroundings.
The dedicated participants worked diligently to clean up the Beach, successfully collecting a total of 17 bags of garbage. This achievement underscores the power of community effort and the significant difference we can make when we come together for a common cause.
This event contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14: Life Below Water, by addressing marine pollution and helping to conserve marine ecosystems; and 17: Partnerships for the Goals, emphasizes the importance of collaboration and cooperation among governments, businesses, and civil society to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
