Break Free NYFW is an immersive runway experience of art, design, fashion, and social issues. The show will be held during fashion week on Saturday, February 12th, 2022.

Break Free NYFW is organized by up and coming designer, Alexandra Nyman of LadyCat. This show is my plea to society to open up about their struggles with mental health and substance use disorder. To begin to take these issues as seriously as we do with a physical disability.

We have invited mental health and addiction activists to not only walk in this show as models, but to also be featured designers showcasing their collections for the world to see. What Sets Us Apart from Other Showcases?

Designers get a free full page ad within the program of the show.

Free Publicity – We work with two publicity firms to invite influencers, members of the press, editors, etc. to attend the show and to write about it.

Free Photos and Video of The Show – Photography and Videography services will be provided by influencer photographer, Sebastian Barbera of Reflex Cinema. Reflex Cinema has an Instagram following of 55.1k and has captured the likes of Michael K Williams, Niki and Gabi DeMartino, Eric Roberts, Naty Ashba, and many more.

Photos from the show will be available in a Google Drive two weeks after the event. The photos will be unedited and will have a watermark from Reflex Cinema in the lower left hand corner. The photos will be available in the drive up to one month after the show, past that they will be removed from the drive.

The show will be livestreamed and will be available for download in the Google Drive for the show two weeks after the event.

Participation in a Panel with the Press – At the end of the show, there will be a panel discussion on mental health and addiction within the fashion industry. There will be an influencer moderator leading the panel, as well as an opportunity for members of the press and attendees to ask the designers and panelists questions.

Influencers as Models – We will have a number of influencers from the mental health, addiction advocacy, and lifestyle/ fashion niches walk in the show as models.

A Way to Give Back – A portion of the proceeds from this show will go towards a scholarship program to admit those seeking treatment for a substance use disorder to enter into rehab for a sixty day stay.
