Fun fact: these dunes remain the tallest in North America, creating a beautiful oasis of sandy peaks and valleys.

Colorado Springs

About an hour’s drive south of Denver, Colorado Springs is an absolute blast to visit. It includes beautiful small towns with dozens of restaurants, shops, and even small parks to spend lunch. It’s an incredible city that offers a lot to do for large groups of people. You’ll get to experience some of the best hiking trails, such as those on Pike’s Peak. You can also take a long walk through the Garden of the Gods or the Broadmoor Seven Falls.

Aspen

Located in the heart of the White River National Forest, Aspen is one of the best winter sports destinations. It offers plenty of downhill skiing, but activities such as ice-skating, dog-sledding, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing are available to anyone! It offers a year-round experience for everyone from festival-lovers to art-appreciators.

If you aren’t big into winter activities, you can try horseback-riding, hot air–ballooning, fly-fishing, or even visiting a few museums and theaters. Aspen is the perfect place to visit for that authentic winter ambiance, with beautiful winter views and luxurious resorts.
