Funny Dirty Santa Gifts
We’ve searched all over to find the best funny Dirty Santa gifts! Dirty Santa is a fun way to liven up your typical office or family Gift exchange while not blowing through your Christmas budget. Also known as White Elephant, or Yankee Swap, Dirty Santa adds excitement by allowing participants to steal gifts that were opened by others.
If you’ve never been part of a Dirty Santa gift exchange, here are the rules:
- Everyone brings a wrapped gift, completely unmarked, and places them together.
- Each person will draw a random number which determines when everyone gets their turn.
- The person with number 1 will go first and select a present. They open the present for all to see.
- Continue taking turns and the person who’s next will have the option to “steal” any other gift that has already been opened, or they can choose a wrapped gift and open it. If someone has their gift stolen, they then have the option to steal another gift or open a new one.
- Each gift can only be stolen three times.
- The game ends when everyone has had a turn. In some versions of the game, the person who selected number 1 has the option to swap their gift for any gift that hasn’t already been stolen three times after the last person has had their turn.
Organizers typically set a spending limit for gifts, ensuring a fair exchange and helping to keep costs down.
Dirty Santa has always been a favorite of ours for gift exchanges. Now we love to go the funny gift route when we’re together with friends or in work settings where our coworkers have a good sense of humor, but when we’re with family we like to also give thoughtful gifts that anyone will love.
