Was Your Bboy Practice Good?

For the tenth episode of #AskErin, we have this question:

How do you know if your Practice is good? You know, after the practice you just had, was it good, or was it off?

What is #AskErin?

#AskErin is a series where bboys and bgirls around the world can, well, ask Erin anything about breaking itself! Simply #AskErin your question in the comments below and we’ll put up a video response for you.

Simply put, I’d like to take the “feeling” out of the equation. I know we all have bad days where we feel like it was a good practice or a bad practice.

But I’d like to take it out of the equation by setting goals for myself each practice.

For example, I tell myself before practice I want to hit 10X windmills to airflares.

So I need to set that goal, set out to achieve it by practising that combo consistently in practice, until I hit it 10X.

Once I can tick it off the checklist, then yes I’ve had a good practice.

If I didn’t, then I need to ask myself why. Why didn’t I do it? Was there something wrong with my technique? Something wrong with the form? Was I injured? Things like these.

In summary, I feel that judging how the practice is “good” can be quantified by the goals you set, and you must stick to doing them.
