Raw Vegan or “Fully Raw”

So, I’ve been looking at several ways to improve my diet – meaning, adding more fruits and vegetables and less processed foods. Some days, I’ll go all day with just eating chips, protein bars or pretzels… basically Food that contains slim to no nutritional value. Then, one day, I was poking around on YouTube for what some vegans eat in a day, and I came across Kristina from FullyRaw. First off, the color of food she mixes into her life was beautiful – seriously, check out her homepage.

I looked into her philosophy of eating only fresh, raw food including all fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds – none of them cooked or at least until like 119 degrees Fahrenheit. She explains how it creates toxins in our food and doesn’t allow us to gain all the real nutrients from the foods we eat. Do I believe this? I’m not entirely sure, yet. I still need more convincing. Do I like the theory? Yeah, actually, I believe fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds are all of the natural food that were offered to us as human beings and keeping just those in your diet makes sense.

I’m not saying processed food isn’t good for you because I’m not a nutritionist, but it’s my personal goal to begin eating food that is unprocessed and uncooked.

Here are some of the things I’ve had so far:

As my journey with this diet continues, I will update on my website and add some recipes I’ve made along the way
