The Selection
Sunday dinner was missed last week due to some family related travel. With lots of work to catch up on this week, we're back, but needed something relatively easy to prepare. I have not used flank steak since making Ropa Vieja more than a year ago. It seemed like the right time to give it another shot.
A whittlerz.com search on flank steak returned over 300 recipes. Instead of narrowing down the search with another ingredient, I decided to scroll through the results to find something interesting.
The spicy Tangerine Beef looked to be the best fit. Simple ingredients, relatively short preparation time, and most ingredients were already in the cupboards or refrigerator.
Highly recommended recipe!

The Preparation
Slice and marinate the meat, cut green onion and ginger, pretty simple. Instead of using a wok, I cooked the meat on a dutch oven. Possible downside is that I did not get a good browning of the meat. I prepared some white rice to go along with the steak. The Outcome
Spicy and a little bit sweet. Don't forget to add the zested tangerine peel. The small touch makes a big difference in overall taste of the dish.Highly recommended recipe!
