The Selection
Time to move to a vegetarian Dish this weekend. Whittlerz.com should be useful for this as it allows you to exclude categories of food from a Recipe search. So exclusions for this week will be 'meat' and 'seafood'. Last week's recipe included noodles, so I thought I would also exclude pasta.
To make a vegetable dish more palatable, I thought I would add a chili pepper to add some heat. Habanero's are among the hottest I have seen in our local grocery store. Whittlerz returned over 100 recipes, but most were for sauces. However, among the results was the Vegetable Rundown recipe. The family likes yams and eggplant, so it made selection easy.
Great healthy vegetables in the dish, but without the extra flavor it was a bit bland.

The Preparation
A little 'behind the blog' view for the readers. I like to get a good photo of the dish to give the readers more information regarding the dish to determine if they might want to prepare the same meal. To get a good picture, I need to finish preparation before it gets dark outside so that the picture is taken under natural light. I fell asleep this afternoon and woke up late. I was immediately in rush mode on this one to beat the dawn. Other than that bit of rushed frustration, the preparation was relatively simple. It all cooks in 1 pot, so easy cleanup as well.The Outcome
I was expecting an ultra spicy experience as habanero's are near the top of the Scoville Scale. It wasn't quite there. The recipe asked for 1/2 of a pepper. I used a full pepper.
