Food and Wine Conference 2016 #FWCon

Connect. Inspire. Empower. Join an army of blogging friends and culinary professionals for a feast of knowledge and Food. All in sunny Orlando Florida.

In just over a month on May 13, 14, and 15, 2016, I will be attending the Fourth Annual Food and Wine Conference at the fabulous Rosen Shingle Creek hotel and resort in beautiful Orlando Florida, ground zero for musings about fine cuisine with culinary professionals, food writers and bloggers from all walks.

Are you planning to attend?

Read on for a $50 off discount code when buying your ticket!

I am truly excited to be a part of this conference! This will be my first trip down there and I am really looking forward to it.

Why?

It is such a great experience to be able to get together with other food bloggers and culinary professionals and discuss the thing we love most: food. And writing about it. Let’s face it: it can be a crazy world out there trying to write a blog,  and learning and talking about it with our peers is always a positive boost! When friends get together, they can be a driving force!

Here are some of the skills I will be polishing  along with all the other attendees:

  • SEO – Search Engine Optimization
  • Marketing and promotion on social media channels
  • Effective writing
  • Publishing a cookbook
  • Working with PR agencies
  • Food styling & photography
  • Broadcast media Appearances and Interviews
  • Producing and Editing Food Videos

I am most excited about improving my photography and am really interested in launching video for Palatable Pastime. I mean, after reuniting with some of my food blogger friends and friends I have made through the sponsors. They are the best!

Which skills would you like to brush up on or master?

Let me know in the comments below!

There will be tons to learn. Some of the speakers this year will be:

  • Isabel Laessig, founder; Sunday Supper Movement
  • Lenny Ferreira, founder; FullView Media
  • Janice Mondavi, owner, C. Mondavi & Family wineries
  • Don Odiorne, Idaho Potato Commission
  • Michael Ollier, corporate Chef, Certified Angus Beef Brand
  • Denise Vivaldo, chef and owner Denise Vivaldo Group
  • …and many more!

And after everyone is full to the brim with new ideas and skills, then we move on to fill ourselves with the food. But of course there will be food! Food bloggers never go hungry!

Are you ready to grab your ticket yet? There is still lots of time. And as promised, as a brand ambassador for this event, I can help save you $50 off the purchase price by using the discount code “PalatablePastime”. Just enter it into the form.
