The Hole in the Wall

One of my new Favourite places to eat in Cambridgeshire is The Hole in the Wall!

It is a beautiful old country pub which serves food that delights the taste buds but without the tiny portions that many of these gastro-pubs insist on!!

The Crayfish and Dill Skagen (my chosen starter) which was served with an interesting selection of breads, melted in the mouth and was much lighter than I was expecting!! Crayfish (well any type of seafood really) being up in my top favourite foods!

Then, the grilled bream which they thankfully cooked for me without the red pepper Sauce, was delicious!! The skin was crispy, the skin light, the pesto had the perfect amount of oil to rocket and even the potatoes were a delight!!

Finally, I indulged with dessert and went for the Fresh Doughnuts with Chocolate and griottine cherry dipping sauce! They were fluffy, they were light, they were covered in sugar and they were very naughty! The chocolate sauce was rich and the cherry's potent!!

The service here was also quick and friendly, which all in all made for a fantastic experience!!

I would definitely recommend here to anyone looking for a good place to eat and I can't wait until I can go back!!
