Agra Culture Kitchen & Press Review

Hey friends! I am very excited to share this review on Agra Culture Kitchen & Press with you today If you live in the Twin Cities or travel there for business or pleasure, then you will want to stick around for this one

First of all, Agra Culture was the first restaurant in Minneapolis to list paleo options on their menu. This fact alone made me head over there immediately after they opened to try it out. As any new restaurant will, they had a few hiccups with offerings/portion sizes in the very beginning, but after a couple emails to the owners they made some changes and now they are my absolute favorite.  I couldn’t believe how responsive they were to my suggestions and implemented several of them after we emailed back and forth a couple times! I also had the pleasure of meeting with the owners and their chef to talk about their menu and how to better provide to the paleo community (how awesome is that?!) and it was such a great conversation. Not to mention a beautiful place to meet!

I learned that not only do they offer paleo, vegan, and vegetarian options but they have a true commitment to providing the highest quality, organic, and non-GMO options possible! They also work to provide options for those with food allergies and chronic health conditions. Too awesome.

Here is a quote from their website that hits home with me –

“We love to eat. Real food. As we started to gain a better understanding of the ‘hows’ and ‘whys’ behind the power that food has in our bodies, the decision to transition into a whole foods diet came naturally. We decided to create a place that is for everyone. We wanted to prove that healthy and tasty can be found on the same plate.”

Another cool thing about Agra Culture is that they provide catering, delivery, and organic pressed juices for a detox program (if you are into that kind of thing). As a paleo Minneapolitan there are approximately zero places I can order in from so it is the best that I can use BiteSquad to order paleo food in!Sometimes I miss being able to order a pizza or Chinese food or ANYTHING. MAJOR POINTS for delivery.

I frequent two of their three locations pretty frequently for bulletproof coffee, brunch with girlfriends or dinner with the boyfriend/friends/whoever will eat there with me  I wanted to share my favorite breakfast, lunch and dinner with you so you have some go-to options if you give them a try!

The first is The American scramble, no  cheese. You can get Paleo bread on the side instead of quinoa, regular bread, or a corn tortilla but you can also add an additional egg to up the protein and portion. I get a Bulletproof coffee instead!

For lunch I have gotten a few different salads and removed a couple ingredients to make them paleo but my favorite is the Arugula Detox Salad which is not only paleo but also vegetarian and vegan! I add chicken or salmon usually for more protein. I also tend to get a paleo Chocolate Chip Cookie on the side Although I like my Fauxtmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe a bit more they are a great treat when I don’t want an entire batch of cookies in my house (I will eat them all…)

For dinner I almost always get an Agra Plate which means you choose a protein, a sauce, and as many sides as you want. Perfect for paleo eaters! I love their Chimichurri sauce and get that with shrimp, scallops, or cage-free chicken most often. I also love their Harissa Yam Wedges and Broccolini with chili flakes and sesame oil for sides. I have yet to try their Roasted Cauliflower Tabbouleh but have heard great things!

If you couldn’t tell, I’m a huge fan of Agra Culture. Not only because their food is amazing and I know it is safe to eat nearly anything there (organic, sustainable, non-GMO, etc) but also because the owners truely want to cater to as many people as they can and learn the “whys” of paleo and other diets/lifestyles! PLUS, they are offering a special discount for my readers!!! From now until February 28th you can get 10% off your entire purchase if you mention The Freckled Foodie at both the uptown Minneapolis and 50th & France location in Edina Pretty awesome of them, huh?

They did not pay me to write this and all these opinions are entirelyl my own! I really dig them and what they are about, so if you are in the area and going out for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner definitely give them a try! You won’t be disappointed.
