Recipe for 1 kg Shankarpali
Ingredients :
- 1/2 kg Maida/All purpose flour
- 100 gm ghee
- 4 tsp jeera/Cumin seeds
- Salt, to taste
- Oil/ghee, for frying
- Water as required
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Take maida in a bowl. And add hot ghee, salt and jeera to it. Mix well.
- Add water as required to make a stiff dough.
- Cover it and keep aside for 30 minutes.
- Roll it into a chapati and cut into square or diamond shape.
- Heat oil/ghee in a kadai. Fry till golden brown.
- Keep the shankarpale in an air tight container.
