Punjabi Chicken Karhai



Ingredients:

1 kg Chicken, cut into pieces   
1 cup Oil 
750 gram Tomatoes, chopped 
3 tsp Ginger slices 
1 medium pod Garlic, finely chopped
10-15 Green Chilies, chopped 
Salt to taste
1 Tsp Red Chili powder
1 tsp Red Chili  
1 tsp Coriander seed 
½ tsp turmeric
10 pieces whole Cloves
15-20 pieces whole Black pepper
½ tsp Cumin powder 
½ tsp Garam Masala

How to Cook:

  1. In a pan, mix chicken with 1-2 glass of water, garlic, ginger and spices.  
  2. Cook on Medium Flame Till chicken is tender.
  3. In separate pan heat oil, add tomatoes and cook on Medium Flame till tomatoes become tender and most of the water is evaporated.
  4. Add tendered chicken to it, and cook for another 10 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle Chopped Green Chilies and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Delicious Punjabi Chicken Karhai is ready.
  7. Serve with Naan/Roti and salad.
