How to Make Sweet Potato Pie


Ingredients:
  • 1 (9 – inch) unbaked pastry shell
  • Sweet potatoes (cooked) – 1 lb. (450 grams) or 1 (16-ounce) can of sweet potatoes
  • Butter – ¼ cup
  • Condensed milk – 1 14 ounce can
  • Vanilla essence – 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Allspice powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Eggs – 2 beaten


Method:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Use a beater and beat the cooked (still warm) sweet potatoes with the butter in a large bowl. Add the condensed milk, vanilla, spices and salt. Beat until smooth.

Using a wooden or plastic spoon, stir the beaten eggs into the sweet potato mixture. Then pour into pastry shell and bake for 50 minutes or until center is set.

Serve warm or chilled.
