Cooking juices or commonly known as natural juices, especially fruit and vegetables are particularly useful for certain things. Each fruit and vegetable brings its own complement of minerals, trace elements, vitamins, and enzymes.

Here are some of the vegetable juices, fruit, and the reasons why they are so prized, relished and desired in Colombia and the world:


Cucumber juice (juice of cooking) is a natural diuretic, helps eliminate excess body water.
It also helps promote hair growth because of its high content of sulfur and silicon.

Carrot juice (juice of cooking) is the best base for most vegetable juice blends, due to its mild sweet taste. It blends well with almost every type of juice, including fruit juices. It is the best alkalizing for systems with heartburn due to excess food, alcohol or sugar. Carrot juice contains vitamins B complex and vitamins A, C, D, E and K. Combined with lettuce juice, beet and turnip, also serves as a rebuilder of healthy tissue. This juice is especially good for treating skin problems.

Watercress juice (juice of cooking) is useful for women likely to be anemic, and nettle (natural diuretic), are bitter and should be used only in small amounts mixed with carrots, apples, or other juices soft.

Beet juice (juice of cooking) is excellent for cleansing the body, particularly the liver, kidneys, and gallbladder. Is good also for the production of red cells in blood and improves the quality of blood in general. Also good when taken in the proportion of part beet juice for every two parts of carrot juice.

Lettuce juice (cooking juices) contains good amounts of iron and magnesium. It is prized for its soothing effect on muscles and nerves. Taken with beet and carrot juice, it is excellent for improving the texture and appearance of the skin and hair.

Carrot juice is famous for producing a miracle juice, or "king of juices". Many people around the world has discovered that if you include carrot juice in your daily diet, general health greatly improved. A common misconception is that carrot juice will be bitter or have a very strong flavor. In reality, when carrots are processed, they taste very sweet, and mix well with other juices, especially apple juice. Carrots blend well with virtually all the juices. It is a nutritious drink for all family members at any time and should be an important part of the diet in cases of illness. You can also use carrot juice to lose weight if you add celery while processing it. This will help decrease the sweetness of carrot juice. Carrot juice is best used when taken in the afternoon due to the jolt of energy it produces. The amount of carotene (which converts to vitamin A in the liver) contained in carrots is evident in the intensity of coloration. Therefore, the carrots must be chosen large, firm, dark yellow, above the light-colored, due to increased carotene content of the first.

When you prepare your carrots for processing in the extractor, wash carrots thoroughly in cold water using a stiff brush for vegetables. Scrape a little, but do not peel, as valuable vitamins and minerals are found near the surface. The juice should be used immediately after.
