Today is International Children's Book Day! It marks the birthday of Hans Christian Anderson, who wrote many popular Children's books such as "The Emporer's New Clothes," "The Little Mermaid," "Thumbelina," "The Little Match Girl," and "The Ugly Duckling."

This day encourages reading, and promotes the love of books for children. I cannot imagine my days as a child without Bookmobile visits to my school. My first venture into entrepreneurship was the development of T.G. Library "Two Girls Library" with my friend Suzie. Although we did not rent any books, it was a wonderful memory.

Many local libraries celebrate today with story telling hours and other events for young children. As a supporter of RIF, Caradidi will be make a donation in April for every binder, recipe organizer, kids doodle book, wine or beer journal sold. (Please visit our website for details.)
