GymCube - Week 1

It's the second week of my GymCube's 2 in 6 program. The first week was fairly rubbish really, because I either didn't want to exercise (I'm very honest), or I was swamped with work and couldn't find the 45 minutes to exercise (not an excuse. seriously). Starting the program in October is probably a bad idea as it's the busiest month on my blog, but I can't give up now as I'm getting closer to my deadline and I must do something about it!

The good news is, I did manage to do 25 minutes of Katie's workout, and 37 minutes of Sandra's workout, and we did some lovely walks during the weekend as well. At least it's something.

Back to the workouts that I did do. I'm loving Sandra's workout, because it's fun, the music is upbeat, and because I'm so caught up with trying to pick up the moves, time seems to go faster. Sandra is quite funny as well (who cares about the messy hair?), which is exactly what I look for in exercise videos. I need that engagement and something fun to make me want to continue (and not feeling dreadful).

I also love that the videos are more realistic. A lot of workout videos will show you the trainer working out in a massive room. GymCube is about exercising at home, or anywhere you can find the space to. It would only make sense if the trainers workout in a small area, to give us the idea of how much space we actually need.

With GymCube's videos (at least the ones in the 2 in 6 program), I feel like I have a bit more space than the trainers (they have a corner of a room), and know that if they can do it, I can do it too (I just need to tidy up the floor a bit...).

So this week I'll do more of Sandra's workouts, but I'll give Pierre's workout a try as well. Katie's workouts are great too, but I just needed something different.

There are a lot of other workout videos on GymCube as well of course, and I'm planning to explore a bit more (I might struggle to try out the live videos though because the times just doesn't suit). Although I might not achieve what the 2 in 6 set me out to do (so I might not be able to tell you if I will lose 2 dress sizes in 6 weeks), keeping yourself interested and motivated to me is more important (just because you might not achieve a goal doesn't mean you should give up).

So good luck to everyone trying to get fit by Christmas, and I'll keep you posted with my journey as well!
