Chocolate Mint Frappe Recipe

If you’re craving an expensive coffeehouse drink, but you’re trying to save money, try this 5-ingredient Chocolate Mint Frappe recipe. This budget-friendly coffeehouse drink combines your love of mint chocolate cookies and coffee in a Sunday brunch drink everyone will love!

How do you satisfy your coffeehouse cravings?

I love coffee. No, I’m obsessed with coffee! I could happily live in my favorite coffee shop if it wasn’t so expensive. Plus, I’m a work at home mom and there will be times when I don’t leave my house for three or four days in a row. So to save time and money, I like to blend up my favorite coffeehouse drinks at home. Right now this Chocolate Mint Frappe recipe has been my go-to.

To get the mint chocolate flavor into this frappe recipe, I chopped up some yummy creme de menthe chocolate candy. The frappe gets a delightful flavor without being too sweet.

Home Chef Tip:

The secret to having a frappe that won’t get watered down is to use Coffee Ice Cubes. I always freeze the leftovers from my morning pot of coffee to have coffee ice cubes on hand. Then to make my frappes, all I have to do is add some cubes to my blender, top with milk, and add whatever flavor I’m craving at the time.

After blending the Chocolate Mint Frappe, I like to add chocolate syrup around the sides of my serving glass and top with whipped cream and a drizzle more chocolate syrup. My frappe ends up being coffeehouse perfect.

To make this budget-friendly drink extra special, I also like to garnish my chocolate mint frappe with what inspired this recipe in the first place – a mint chocolate cookie. Yum!

If you are as coffee obsessed as I am, then the obsession goes beyond just drinks. Make sure to check out this DIY brown sugar coffee scrub from Jordan’s Easy Entertaining. Whip up a batch while you enjoy your chocolate mint frappe.
