Roasted Caramelized Makhana Snack


          Here is Roasted Caramelized Makhana Recipe. Makhana is also known as Fox nut or Lotus Seeds or Phool Makhana. This Sweet Caramelized Makhana is coated by caramelized sugar so it is called sugar coated Makhana and Caramel Lotus Seeds and Toffee Foxnut as well. You can store caramelized makhana in air tight container for a week.

Ingredients :

Makhana : 2 Cups
Sugar  : 1/3 cup
Butter : 1 tbsp
Sesame Seeds : 1 tbsp
Baking Soda : pinch (Optional)

Method: 

1. Heat thick bottom pan, add makhana and dry roast for 8 minutes.

2. Once roasted, transfer into another bowl.

3. Heat the same pan, add sugar and melt well.

4. Once melted, add butter and mix well.

5. Now add dry roasted makhana and mix well.

6. Add sesame seeds and mix well. Switch off the flame.

7. Do not over cook sugar.

8. grease the plate with butter and transfer makhana into it.

9. Try to flatten and let them cool at room temperature.

10. Separate them just by hand only.

11. Roasted Caramelized Makhana is ready to grab.
