Rajgira Kadhi

A very simple, quick Kadhi for navratri fast. Preparation is almost same as normal besan kadhi. Instead of besan here we are using rajgira flour.

Servings : 3 - 4

Ingredients :
  • 1/2 cup Rajgira Flour
  • 2 cup plain curd
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger-green chilli paste 
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • Curry leaves, handful
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 2 tsp Crushed peanuts
  • 3 cup water
  • salt, to taste
Recipe :
  1. Mix together Rajgira flour, salt, curd and sugar. Make sure there are no lumps.
  2. Add water to it and keep it aside.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds.Let them crackle.
  4. Now add ginger-chilli paste and sauté for a minute.
  5. Now add the rajgira-curd mixture, mix well and cook for 8 - 10 minutes. Stir Continuously.
  6. Lower the flame and cook the kadhi for 2 - 3 minutes or till it become thick while stirring continuously.
  7. Once the kadhi becomes thick, remove it from heat. 
  8. Pour the kadhi in a serving bowl.
  9. Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.
  10. Serve with Aloo khichadi.
