Versatile Schezwan Chutney

Schezwan chutney is a new introduction in the Indian market. With its Chinese roots and Indian twist, this spicy dip can add life to any food. However, why should one use it only as a dip? Given below are a few recipes you should definitely try:

1) Dal Chawal: College students get tired of eating the same dal-chawal in college canteen/mess every day. Well, the worry is over. Add a tablespoon of Nilon’s Schezwan Chutney to the plate and mix it to the food according to your taste and voila the boring food is not so boring anymore. The chutney’s rich taste will add energy to the dead food.

2) Bread Pakoda: Revive this age old dish with Nilon’s Schezwan Chutney. Remove the sides of the bread and cut a slice into two equal halves. Spread Schezwan chutney on one half and place paneer slices on the other. Put the two together and cover with besan batter. Deep fry. Serve hot with chai.

3) Schezwan Chilla Rolls: Make a thick besan batter and add carom seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala, salt and onion to it. Heat a pan with a little oil or butter in it and pour a ladel of this mixture. Flatten it out like a pancake and fry on both sides till golden brown. Once done, remove it on a plate and spread a thin layer of Nilon’s Schezwan Chutney on it. Roll it in the shape of a wrap and cut it into small bite-sized pieces.
