Dear Friends, Family, Fellow Authors, and Cherished Readers,

I encourage you to visit the following website: TFL on Tape: Episode 60 – The Poetry Episode. There, you will find my poem, “Exodus,” read aloud alongside the incredible works of five other poets. “Exodus” was one of my first published works, first appearing in the Winter 2019 edition of The First Line.

Now, for a limited time, you can hear “Exodus” read aloud by myself, and listen to the works of several other prominent authors and poets whose accolades made me feel incredibly honored to be included in such an eminent crowd – including poets Joe Hoyle, Atreyee Gupta, Helen Beer, ave jeanne, and Ron Riekki.

I would like to extend my thanks to you, for listening to this episode, as well as to the team at The First Line, first for believing in my work many years ago, and also for remembering me and providing me the incredible opportunity to read my work aloud on an episode of TFL on Tape, as well as their efforts to promote my words and those of my fellow poets.

I also owe a debt of gratitude to all of my friends and mentors in the literary world, all of whom have helped me grow and develop as a writer over these past five years. I am a better poet, a better person, and a better literacy citizen – because of you.

I am also delighted to announce that I will be graduating this June with an M.A. in Digital Humanities. I am currently working on my capstone project, which is the last little bit of my degree I need to complete. I started a graduation countdown blog, if anyone is interested in less formal, more frequent missives from me.

Finally, I am honored to relate that I was a recipient of the Futures Initiative Social Equity and Justice Grants at the CUNY Graduate Center. My sincerest thanks go out to the Futures Initiative Team for their faith in my work.

May inspiration find you in unexpected places,

Caitlin Cacciatore
