My newest novel is a Sci-Fi thriller about a manned probe to Hailey's Comet in 2072 that takes off from Mars Base but is hit by an asteroid in the Kuiper Belt and damaged.

When the ship tries to return to Mars, the First Officer, an efficient Russian woman by the name of Irina Rostov, is worried because the communication equipment seems to affected and not only can't the ship not raise Mars, there does not seem to an signal coming Earth or Moon Base either.

The commander, American Joshua H. Creed, pilots his crippled ship on auxiliary power and when they reach the orbit of Mars they make a startling discovery -- they have gone to a time, either far back or far ahead they are not sure which, when Mars has lots of oxygen, water and gravity.

They pick up a signal closer in --- but is not of human origin!

This is an update of a book I began more than 50 years ago set in 1986, the last time Hailey's Comet was visible from the Earth.

But is all new for the 21st Century and it is in the conceptual phase right now!
