When people said God existed,
I knew they were talking about you.
Inspiring brats like us, unassisted
Can be done only by a few.
A variety of people inhabit Earth,
but not one gives rise to a star.
You teachers, so selflessly always unearth,
the hidden, shielded talent of ours.
Filled with passion to the brink,
money had never motivated you.
Your dedication ignited us to think
Your smile energized us too.
Reaching the realms of positivity,
separating right from wrong.
It was you who instilled in us creativity
and taught us to be strong.
When days were too demanding,
frustration took its course.
Yet you were calm and unopposing
and "optimism" became the driving force.
Your enthusiasm and commitment
can never ever be sold.
Your patience and adherence
are of legends untold.
Teachers are the very soul of the class,
No one can repay for your benevolent actions.
It's a sin to commit, when we bypass
your high-valued esteemed words.
I take this humble opportunity
to thank you for every single thing.
As a person softened by your teachings,
I'll give my best in everything.
