We will hold a special prize-giving event on Saturday 9 October 2021. We are planning for this event to be a live event in Winchester. However, if there are restrictions still in place which prevent this, the event will move online. Winning and commended poems will also be published in a competition anthology.

Winchester Poetry Prize is generously sponsored by:

Best poem by a poet living in Hampshire will receive a prize kindly donated by Warren & Son

Thanks to the generosity of the 2020 winner, Lewis Buxton, there are a limited number of free entries available for low-income writers to whom an entry fee would be a barrier. All the free entries have now been claimed.
