I don't know that there's an SFF author writing today who is more emotionally engaging than Sarah Chorn, which makes A Sorrow Named Joy an automatic must-read. Joy desires nothing more than her husband's happiness. She spends her days creating the perfect life for him in their idyllic suburban home. Everything is neat, predictable, and in its place . . . but when Joy finds a picture that hints at a past she cannot remember, the facade cracks and secrets are revealed. Available 10 Jan 2022.
New Acquisitions: Paperback Treasures
Just one new acquisition on the paperback front this week...
Dragons of a Fallen Sun and Dragons of a Vanished Moon are the first and last book (I still need to find a copy of the middle book) of Dragonlance: The War of Souls, by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman. With all the legal wrangling over and Dragons of Deceit, the first new Dragonlance novel in over a decade, scheduled to hit shelves this summer, I'm excited to immerse myself in Krynn once again.
