I’ve just learned a new thing: in a Forest, trees communicate with each other in a very tangible way, through their roots. For example, if one part of the forest becomes depleted with particular nutrients or water, trees in another part will pass those nutrients along to the depleted trees. There is no competition and they all work together for the good (and balance) of the whole forest.

Now, do you see any parallels of the forest with our current society?

Of course, it’s obvious, isn’t it. Maybe it’s not. I’ll explain:

Let’s say the trees which stand above the soil, which dominate our vision, are the noisy structures that we all look up to and focus upon – politicians, police, media and some “scientists”.

The invisible part of the forest is the roots – the common people, if you like, the unseen ones who keep the noisy structures in place. If we let go, they fall.

Now, imagine a huge storm ripping through the forest – the trees are forced to sway around, crash into each other, bump and crash in the night.

And below?

The quiet, unseen roots hold on tighter, keeping the flailing structures from harm and from death.

So, when an instrument of destruction enters the forest, the trees bend to it, unable to resist. The large structures are weak but the silent roots resist. They are what keep the noisy, compliant politicians and media safe … not the other way around as they would have us believe.

Then, if that instrument of destruction turns into an instrument of death, the trees willingly lay down and die … well, they would die if the roots let them.

The weak politicians and media could be thankful to the common people but they’re too busy being noticed and compliant. Being the weakest of the species, they give in.

However, the strong ones will never give in. They cannot. That is not how we’re made.

Just as the roots share the goodness below the forest floor, so do the strong ones of us share emotional, legal and practical support to help the forest survive and thrive.

We all know our politicians aren’t in charge; that their chains are being pulled by instruments of destruction and death who hide like cowards, behind the curtain.

And you, strong one, must hold all the weak and swaying ones up. However, remember this: you are not alone and you are not weak. The forest will survive because of you.

All that’s required is your call for help and billions of roots will hear your call – you will be fed with the nutrients you need.

Together we’ll keep this beautiful forest – Mother Earth – alive and thriving.
