Seventh Letter to Isaac Asimov

He sat on the beach and watched the water envelope him, not flinching at the force of the wave nor the freezing temperature of the winter water. His shoes and socks were filled with water that would take hours to dry. His pockets had filled up with all of the sand that had been torn up by the water. His paper bag lunch had been washed away. He didn’t mind at all. For that instant he had been one with the world, he had been a part of something larger than himself.
