This is not what you may think – a school of mathematics dedicated to the Poisson distribution which was used to predict the number of soldiers in the Prussian army killed accidentally by horse kicks on an annual basis. Tourists can go to this school if they need to work out the probability of a given number of events occurring in a fixed interval of time and/or space if these events occur with a known average rate and independently of the time since the last event. An example would be the chances of your flight home crashing.
The Wiener Museum
This museum comprises sausages from around the world as well as stuffed sausage dogs donated by the rich and famous. The exhibitions include the Guinness World Records for eating each of the types of sausage. The restaurant only serves sausages on the menu. Visitors can attempt to make their own sausages using various machines; however this hands-on attraction has to be booked ahead due to popularity. Other food-related museums in the same complex include the Schnitzel Museum – no need to ask what the cafe serves here – and the Sachertorte Museum and cafe.
