Interview 1.0 (STJ Photography)

Good day, I promised to feature art of all kinds on this blog this year. Ranging from Photography, calligraphy, textiles, music, all things art to inspire you. Well the wait is over and may I say, it was worth it. In this first episode of the interview, I’ll be bringing my favorite photographer in my university to you. I’ve gone through all of them and his works stand out from the rest, his works speaks a lot to me and I wanted to give you all the opportunity to be blessed by this talented fellow. His full name is Sipoloore Topeojo and but he makes use of the brand name STJ photography for his art. In this interview, I got the opportunity to speak with him to get to know him better, his hobbies, inspiration, the message he intends to send with his art and more. But before I present the details of the interview to you, I want to give you all the chance to see some of his works. To get to see how much of a talent he is.

Lovely right?, I was thinking the same too. Now that you’ve seen his works, its time to get to know Sipoloore Topeojo, its time for the interview.

Q: What led you to photography, what was your inspiration?

A: I’d have to say God and passion led me to photography, I love to portray God’s beauty in everyone. No one is ugly, so I like showing God’s beauty in people mostly girls. Also, I’ve had the passion since I was a child.

Q: There are many types of photographers, which category do you think you fall under?

A: Well, I’m not necessarily a type of photographer. But, I’m more of a beauty and lifestyle photographer. I also venture into Fine art photography.

Q: What inspires you to click that shutter or do you just capture everything you see?

A: What inspires me?, Well I’d have to say the beauty in people. I don’t capture everything I see, I capture things that fascinate me, especially in faces.

Q: Aside from photography, what else do you love doing or in other words your hobbies?

A: I love editing, music and eating.

Q: What message do you intend to send to the world with your art?

A:  The message I want to send to the world is just for people to see God’s beauty in almost everything, mostly female faces.

Q: When it comes to photography who do you look up to, who is your role model?

A: Well, I won’t call the person/people my role model. This is because I only look up to the master photographer which is God in heaven. But some photographers I admire are TY bello, Tope Horpload, Jessica Kobeissi, Irene Rudnyk, Karl Taylor to mention a few.

Q: What were the hindrances to your photography when you started?

A: I had a few setbacks, a few lambasting, but I didn’t see them as hindrances I saw them as stepping stones, as a major push to strive harder to attain what I wanted. As far as God is involved it will be a success. So no, I had no hindrances.

Q: Who or what were your greatest supports to your photography?

A: My greatest support was no other than God Almighty. Also, my parents have been my mentors, friends and support since I started.

Q: What’s your ultimate goal for your photography?

A: I want to be known worldwide for my works. I want to be known as the guy that makes peoples realize that no one is ugly, its all misconceptions from bad angles and poor lightening. That’s my ultimate goal.

So that’s mostly all you need to know about the photographer Sipoloore Topeojo, hope you loved it.
